London From A Giant's Perspective

Visiting the New London Architecture exhibition was extremely interesting, specifically because I have a strong personal interest in miniature models, so it was exciting to see London in such a tiny and cute way. Immediately upon entering the space, you could sense that this was the sort of place professionals would come to finish up a project or enjoy some coffee, as everyone in the space was sat alone and deeply engage with whatever they had pulled up on their laptops. I really liked the easy-to-understand plaques and information cards that flowed from one end of the room to the other, as well as the exhibit's use of interactive maps and short documentary-like videos which demonstrated the history of London. While our casual outfits made us jut out from the corporate individuals spending time in the exhibit, we fit right in at St. Pauls where we had our debrief. All sorts of people were walking right past us as we sat in front of St. Pauls, and the fresh air as well as being surrounded by nature allowed us as a group to break away from the fluorescent-like qualities of the exhibit and think more comprehensively about the information we had just received. I really enjoyed our first excursion as a class and felt that we made the most of our visit and discussions.
